Pretty good! As other reviews have mentioned, download the CGN app in advance, as you’ll need to download about 200mb of data to do the audio tour, but if you come well prepared then it’s an interesting and scenic way to spend an hour!

My wife and I took a Rivera Cruise with wine tasting. Based on their website I was expecting 3 wines and some charcuterie. I didn’t get the charcuterie but got double-sized wine servings so I guess it evened out. The cruise itself was fine but I regret the wine tasting. I think the website is the problem but it could have been the bartender. I couldn’t tell because the bartender didn’t speak English. The company seems to be a water taxi operator that tries to make a few bucks off of tourists. Stick with the basic cruises and don’t bother with the extras. .

Great value for the money. Wish the meetup instructions were a little more definitive. Turns out there are two pickup points. The audio download guide was awesome.

We took a day trip from Lausanne to Evian and back. It was free with our Swiss Travel pass. There are multiple sailings per day. We left at 11 am, had a wander round the town, a delicious lunch and a ride in the funiculaire and were in plenty of time to catch the 2:45 return sailing. A very laidback trip on a nice day.

The views were amazing! We took a lot of video. The world heritage wine area was awesome. Would recommend this trip as a must see.

The internet advised to book this trip early, however, you can hop on & off the boat at various stops, just check the CGN schedule. As you also get discount tickets when staying in the area, another reason to wait till you get to Switzerland. That said - I suspect it could be busy in the summer months. We got on at Vevey (paddle steamer Italie) & had 2 hour cruise along the shore to Montreux ( it stops before here & also at Montreux) Then Chateaux de Chillon before heading towards the other side of the lake. Another couple of stops then directly back across to Vevey. Very comfortable facilities. Worth the little extra for First class,as better seating & lounge.

This was a dinner cruise. Children yelling and screaming and spraying perfume in the cabin, banging on glasses and the table, Management did nothing. Avoid.

Lac Leman is very scenic, so any boat trip will be a great way to see Geneva. However this audio guide tour was a major let down because there was no audio guide! When we asked where it was, the man just said 'non'. This tour needs to be renamed.

The scenery cruising along the shore, crossing the lake to Yvoire, a picturesque medieval town in France, was just breathtaking, as was the sunset! On top of this came the excellent buffet the Beau-Rivage had prepared and the impeccable service by its very courteous and friendly staff. An altogether unforgettable experience!

My experience of Geneva was that it was not a very friendly place and was quite uninteresting. There is not a lot to see or do. It did not feel well maintained (public spaces) and there was a lot of begging people. An unremarkable place to visit.

It was a great boat cruise although no onboard amenities available - no coffee, other drinks or snacks. The audio guide was fine although difficult to line it up with the monuments/buildings you were supposed to be looking at unless they were very iconic. The map indicating the position of the boat also wasn’t necessarily the same spot at which the boat was positioned so again, this made it hard to know where to look for some of the highlighted buildings.

We booked 2 first class tickets at a cost of around €150 which should include a greeter but didn’t. Made our own way upstairs and left to our own devices. I know it says no food or drinks but for that price I would expect a complimentary glass of champagne at the very least. Tour was great but to be honest you would see just as much on the level below for a fraction of the price. To sum up, take the tour but just buy a normal ticket 😉

Tour guide Gabrielle was a brilliant ambassador for Geneva (& for Angola too where he was born) & he made the tour brilliant & extremely enjoyable. A very helpful & genuine person too. Loved the boat cruise because it was on a small boat, ideal if it is dry

While the tour was relaxing and did at one point gave views of the mountains, not worth the 19 CHF, There is no audio guide available. You need to scan the QR code , download the app , click on the tour only to have it say it is not available in English .

Having read the reviews I downloaded the app before leaving home. However it still didn’t work. Said not yet available in English. Other people didn’t even get that far…
