- Betsy S00The BEST way to experience Brussels!Have you ever wondered why Belgium is known for its beer and chocolate? Or do you just like to eat chocolate and drink beer? This is the tour for you! Upon a friend's recommendation, we signed up to take this tour during a recent trip to Brussels and were not disappointed. Not only did we learn why Belgium is known as making the best chocolate and beers around, but we also got to sample a little of each while learning about this beautiful city along the way! A definite win-win-win - although I will say I will never look at a Hershey's bar in quite the same way anymore! Our tour guide, Adrian, was wonderful! He was funny, informative, and obviously had a great passion for Brussels, chocolate, and beer. We went into shops and pubs that we never would have found on our own. Adrian also provided a few "surprises" along the way, and we loved the group we went with. As you can imagine, after the fourth pub. we all became great friends by the end of the tour. I would definitely recommend this tour, and would definitely do again if the opportunity ever arises.
- Bostonsean100Beer and chocolateI took the tour with Baptiste and Julianna last week. This was one of the best tours as they were both well knowledgeable especially in the field of chocolate which is how the tour started 5 different shops along with a stop to get fries before embarking on the beer stops of 5 pubs. Trying many tripels and quadrupels I was much better introduced to the art of lambic and many other styles plus the history of each pub. The tour ended with being able to try one of Belgium’s oldest and in my opinion best quadrupels The westmalle 12 which was also accompanied with a piece of Belgian chocolate which truly enhanced the flavors of the beer!! If you get a chance to take this tour do not pass it up!!! Not only was it a beer and chocolate tour but also stops in and around Brussels including the history or the city. I learned a lot more after taking this tour than you could get from paying for a bus guided or walking tour. Baptiste and Julianne were the best two guides especially for a group of 16.. I will definitely take this tour again next time I visit Brussels!!
- 663cherriec00Exploring the chocolate makersPretty interesting theme for a tour, unique in a sense with a small group of interested people making it a pricey walk tour.
- Tommy C00great day outWe thought our chocolate and beer tour was just a way to spend a few hours going in and out of shops and pubs. We could not have been more wrong, our guides were Adrian and Batiste who showed us around, with expert knowledge they made the tour interesting. We were shown lots of local historical points and places of interest. The chocolate shops were amazing and the chocolate was fantastic, also the beer trip was a welcome chill down from as the evening drew in, the beers were very good and we have some favourites i must try to get at home. the bars we went to were not crowded and we were made welcome with some food laid on in the last bar it was not a full on meal but enough meat and cheese with bread to fill your belly and not make you feel too full. if Adrian or Batiste could send me the name of the beer we were drinking (I know it was called st bernard) but was it a brand name as I cant find it on the internet. We went on the Saturday the 6th of January, and it was a trip I would recommend everybody too do. I would give this tour 5 stars. sincerely Tommy and Sandra
- Cusackl00A trip highlight! We enjoyed this tour greatly- you will learn much about Belgium tradition and culture.... and chocolate! It is a bit Pricey but is worth it as you taste 12 chocolates and at least 6 full sized beers (can’t really remember) Julie and Nikolas was a delight and have a great tour of the city! If going in the winter dress warm. No need to book a city tour after this. Cheers!

Great experience, much more fun and engaging than I expected. Two hours learning how to make chocolate, chatting wit people form all over the word, sharing experiences and coming out of it with a lot of tasty treats. The young girl running the workshop ( i am sorry i cannot remember her name now) has clearly a great passion for what she does. Overall a lovely experience

Ghazal was our instructor and she was fantastic! We learned a lot and cannot wait to do it at home. We are very happy we chose this experience as it was fun and instructional. Plus we came out with a variety of delicious chocolate made by us. Recommend it 100% and hope you get Ghazal or a person like her 😉 her music playlist was great too☺️

I simply can not recommend this experience enough. My partner and I visited Brussels for the first time and this was one of the highlights of our trip. We had everything we needed to make the most delicious chocolates and the lady running the class was so knowledgable but fun and really encouraged and helped us have the best time. This class is a MUST if you’re visiting, if not for the yummy chocolates then for the fun and experience!

It was a lovely experience. The workshop was organised on a very good level. I would recommend it to my friends.
We made chocolates with different fillings such as ganache and caramel.
I don’t like nuts and raisins in the chocolate, next time I’d bring some other spices such as sublimated fruits or berries, hope it’s not forbidden :)
Thank you so much :)

This was a great workshop - a bit of humour, some good chocolate facts and enough chocolate to keep us dates for the rest of the trip.
I don’t know what the other workshops are like on the city but you can’t go wrong with this one - it’s a really good balance and we’ll run.
Apparently they also do waffle making workshops if you want something different!

This chocolate workshop was fantastic! We were a large group of 19 however that didn’t affect the learning experience at all. Our teacher was very professional but also fun which made our 2.5hours go by so quickly!
We kept all the chocolate pralines that we made. And they were all really good! I would definitely recommend this workshop

Had a wonderful time creating our own chocolates. The host was welcoming and explained the process clearly. Loved sampling as we went. The hot chocolate was delicious! You leave with about 35 of your own chocolates. So much fun!

Our instructor, Maria, was knowledgeable and fun and efficient. We all had a great time, learned a lot and enjoyed making two kinds of the chocolate which we went home with. We also had delicious hot chocolate with a secret ingredient. Great experience!

This trip was our chocolate making trip. We were going to take chocolate making classes in different countries. I have to say this particular chocolate making class in Belgium was hands down the best. A lot had to do with our instructor Ghazal. She was enthusiastic and upbeat plus she was a lot of fun.
We learned to temper chocolate, how to get a shiny shell, how to make ganache, how to fill a praline, how to make hot chocolate, we ate chocolates and brought home a box full of handmade pralines.
A definite do in Belgium

This was a fun and informative experience. The 2.5 hours flew by, although my feet were feeling it by the end! (I should note that seating was available). Our host clearly explained both what we were doing and some of the history behind it - and also did a good job of fixing our inevitable mistakes. The only real issue is that there was only one of her at a couple of key moments.
It's certainly an expensive way to get chocolates, but I think worthwhile for a fun morning activity.

I see that the tour says 12 years old minimum. What about a very well behaved and mature 10 year old who loves chocolate?
Bonjour,
Je souhaiterais réserver une activité chez vous avec mon fils de cinq ans.
Acceptez-vous que je vienne avec lui?
Si oui ;)
Comment puis-je réserver?
Merci par avance pour votre retour
Antoine
Why there are no dates for September? Is not gonna happen anymore or it is early?

Hi Ricky,
Good question! It was on a ground floor level so access to it would be okay.., the tables/ benches were about belly button height... I’m 167cm tall. And it the class was very full. I think if you let them know they could do it with possibly a lower table. I don’t recall the bathrooms.
Hope this helps,
Sue
