- RunawayNFly00Absolutely amazing tour!Santor was extremely knowledgeable and provided very interesting little known facts during the rour. He was great at fielding questions. The food treats certainly were also a huge highlight. Thank so much for such a fun, informative, interesting, and memorable experience.
- barbarahZ8951FU00Great tour!Very informative, very fun tour. AND we got a waffle and chocolates. Learned a lot about the history of Brussels and Belgium.
- Jah-12121200Exceptional tourSancart was an exceptional guide He shared so much of the history & beautiful architecture We also tasted a Belgian waffle & several chocolates. I definitely recommend this walking tour Sancart also shared other places to visit & dining recommendations
- Kit507100Great experience!A fantastic insight into Brussels from a very knowledgeable and interesting guide. I would recommend doing this tour on your first day so you get some useful information and a feel for the city. Good English spoken. You really do come away feeling like you have met a local with a passion for his country.
- ewakZ7741RV00Great walk with SancarGreat experience we had with Sancar, we can recommend especially for your first experience with Brussels. He gave us great background about the city and showed the most important spots. We also really appreciated the waffles, pralines and the list of tips where to eat etc.
- paultA9981OF00Brussels Grand PlaceWe did the day trip to Ghent and Bruges. Would definitely recommend it. Going to the Grand Place is also a must. Highly recommend dining at the White Rose. Go to the third floor to observe the evening light/laser show.
- 461ivetai00AwesomeInformation told. Very insightful and helpful to understand the history of Brussels and Belgium 🇧🇪
- linfeis202100Wonderful historical guided tourI absolutely enjoyed the guided tour with Sancar! Very knowledgeable, friendly, and gave recommendations after the tour. I could really tell that he loves what he does and is very personable. He remembered everyone’s names and asked where everyone is from and remembered it during the entirety of the tour. This stood out as I’ve been on many guided tours where the guide doesn’t really get to know you on a personable level. Thank you for all the recommendations and highly highly recommend him! We ended up trying the food he recommended and it was delicious! Wishing we had booked him earlier so we could have gotten to enjoy the city of Brussels more. Also enjoyed the waffles and chocolate provided! Thank you Sancar and can’t wait to be back!
- heddaz201800An informative tour to BrusselsA very informative 2-3 hours to walk around Brussels’ main landmarks and at the same time with the brief history and cultural background provided.our tour guide Sancar is very passionate about getting us to understand the culture and the architecture, at the end of the tour Sancar followed up with an email to us for all the recommendations on beers, cuisine, places and neighbourhood to visit, which is very helpful for us to plan the rest of the day’s activities! Great tour!
- jenfE2450SX00Amazing tour with unbelievable sights! Our tour guide, Sancar, was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He had all the guests introduce themselves at the beginning and proceeded to remember everyone’s name throughout the tour. He was entertaining, encouraged questions, and went above and beyond to explain everything about the city and the history behind it.
- jackieud00Going back to the Middle AgesWe traveled to Ghent and Bruge for the day. Our driver was Bernardo who everyone liked, friendly good driver. Our tour guide was Andreas I think that was her name. She was amazing. Gave tour in Spanish and English and unlike what other reviewers said said the exact thing in both languages and switched which language went first gave us informative walking tours in both Ghent and Bruge, and helped us with the restaurant menu suggestions when we had lunch. The thing that made our tour guide so special is that she tried to get to know each person on the tour spending a few moments with different people. I found that the personalization made this tour special even though it was a large group tour. The boat ride in the canal at Bruge is a must. Great way to end the day.
- johnpotts02500Legends of Brussels Walking TourGreat walk and explanation of the historic buildings. Our guide was knowledgeable and gave us restaurant suggestions for Belgium food specialties, Chez Leo was excellent.
- TomA48000Superb!I can heartily recommend this tour. Great, characterful venue (including lots of interesting beer-tasting vocabulary on the walls!). Sancar is charming, friendly and knowledgeable. Great way to spend an evening. Je peut le recommander vivante. Tres chouette endroit (inclu beaucoup de mots interessant apropos des gouts de biere sur les murs!). Sancar est charmante, amicalement et bien informe. Genial facon passer un soir.
- kittykat929200Brilliant tourFantastic tour with a great tour guide. Would highly recommend. Very knowledgable and friendly and has some great and interesting insights about the city.
- sahert201500Best walking tour.We took this tour on 22/08/19. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history and geography of the Belgium in particular about Brussels. He was very friendly and made the tour very personable. Along with explaining about history and political side we learnt about world famous Belgian chocolate n waffles ( we also got to try some, which was unexpected and very kind of our guide) . At the end he recommended some nice restaurants n places to explore. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Don’t forget to wear comfortable shoes ( as the streets are not very flat and there is high chance of hurting ur ankles if not carful)

Excellent tour introducing people to beautiful Brussels. Our guide was outstanding; prompt, fluent in English, obviously proud of his city and country and in complete command of historical, geographical and architectural facts. Recommend this tour be taken immediately upon arrival, especially given our guides willingness to spend extra time after the tour recommending restaurants, trains, and other places to see in Belgium and Luxembourg. 5 stars!

Thoroughly enjoyed my tour of the centre of Brussels. Despite being a Brussels resident myself, Sancar's excellent guided walk provided me with a better understanding and knowledge of my own city's historic past and its many architectural gems and hidden treasures. Sancar's lively storytelling, stopping for waffles and tasting some of "Mary"'s delicious chocolate pralines along the way made it a truly enjoyable experience. I definitely recommend!

In less than 3 hours, we felt we had seen and experienced many of the highlights of the city, though admittedly it just scratched the surface. Our guide Sancar's enthusiasm and passion for Brussels was obvious and contagious. We highly recommend this tour before exploring further on your own.

This was a walking tour starting in the main square with about a dozen participants.
II really enjoyed it. The guide was friendly, interesting and informative. A brief summary of the history of Belgium and Brussels helped put what we ware seeing in context. This included the challengers of building a city on very marshy ground. Basically, I got what I was hoping to get from this tour.
It included tastings of a waffle, which was freshly made and surprisingly good, and excellent chocolates.
It was well worth doing and I recommend it.

Sancar was a great tour guide. He was friendly, funny, and very knowledgeable. I feel like we got a lot for our money, and the waffle and chocolate were delicious! I definitely recommend hi for anyone who wants a quick introduction to Brussels history.
We took the Eurostar train from London St. Pancras International station at 9 am and arrived in Brussels 2 hours later. We walked from the station to the Grand Place, stopping for a bite to eat on the way, and then met Sancar for the tour. After the tour we wandered back to the station and were back in London in no time. We arrived at both stations an hour before departure and that was plenty.

I'm so glad I did this tour! I had less than 24 hours in Brussels and wasn't sure if I had time, but it was a great way to see lots and I had such a nice time. It was a smaller group than some of the walking tours I've been on (I think max 8 people) which made it easier to chat and ask questions too.
I highly recommend doing this at the start of your trip to get to know Brussels and also so you can get hints and suggestions for the rest of your time in Brussels!

If you are only in Brussels for a day, like we were, the Legends of Brussels walking tour is an excellent way to learn about the history of the city and to sample some of the sweets that it is well known for. Our tour began in the Grand Place - one of the most ornate historic squares that you will find in Europe. Many of the magnificent buildings which surround the square are embellished with gold leaf making the entire square glitter in the sunshine. Our guide was a history lover and provided us with a nice overview of the both the square and the city in general. The tour covered several other key attractions including the Cathedral of Saint Michael. And, along the way, we periodically stopped to enjoy some of the sweets that the city is known for including waffles and several types of chocolate. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone visiting Brussels for the first time.

Our experience with Sancar was incredible! After starting out the tour and providing detailed historical information about the Grand Place, we moved around the city and continued to absorb information presented by Sancar in a fun and engaging fashion. Sancar has so much knowledge about Brussels, and all of our questions were answered! He provided a list of recommendations at the end of the tour, several of which we had the opportunity to visit. The tour offers insight into the well-known landmarks in Brussels, and makes you feel as though you are gaining a true understanding of the city and not just looking at the sights with no background knowledge. If you are only in Brussels for a few hours, this tour would make you feel as though you’ve experienced the city! We absolutely recommend a tour with Sancar, and are so glad we had the opportunity to meet him and learn about Brussels!

This tour was FANTASTIC! We would recommend to anyone with an interest in Brussels and it's stories. Sancar was the ultimate host. He learnt our names immediately. He was highly informative and interesting. His journey through Brussels was fabulous. He got to know something about each guest and gave us a surprise gift of a fresh, hot waffle each after explaining their history and details. He also have us a gift of 2 chocolates for tasting, recommending a savouring of each small bite to appreciate the two historically interesting flavours.
Sancar was flexible and arranged the tour to suit the circumstances. Thank you Sancar- Highly Recommend!

Our guide Sancar was fantastic. He was so enthusiastic about everything he was telling us about. He pointed out so many details to us on buildings that we would have never noticed otherwise. We had 9 people in our group and he made the effort to find out something about each of us and then include all of us throughout the tour. We tried waffles and chocolate, and both were excellent. Note that there are some hilly areas and stairs on this tour. We almost didn't take this tour because we were tired and had to take the train from Bruges. But it ended up being one of our favorite trip activities. Brussels is a fun and architecturally beautiful city to visit. And taking Sancar's tour was the perfect way to do this city justice.

We would like to book this tour but the dates we are visiting say ‘tour in French’ we would like an English speaking tour guide so does this mean it will only be in French or both? Thank you

The one I went on was in English only. It might be available in German, but if it doesn't say so then it probably isn't.

Email the guide directly. He’s very nice.
I understand that many of the points of interest are closed on Monday. Will that impact the tour as conducted on Mondays.

Hi Dave,
I don't believe it will have an impact due to much of the places of interest didn't involve going inside. The only place I remember going inside was the grand Cathedral (that's what I referred to it as).
The remaining places of interest are places you may wish to visit at a later time or date. Ample information is provided for you o make a informed choice.
Hope this helps.

The name of the town center is the Grand Place and that can be confusing as there is a Grand Palace: if my memory serves me well.
Bonjour, je désire savoir à quelle heure se fait le départ pour l'excursion, et choix d'horaire le cas échéant.
