- culebra-1000Be careful with this companyBe aware about this company , if you cancel the trip they don’t return the money, we cancel our trip because my wife get sick the night before and never get paid back , never use this company again 👎
- 200aileenp00Loved this tourGuide Jake was fantastic. Very informative and knowledgeable. I especially liked that he found something to talk to everyone about regarding their home places. Loved Muir Woods in particular but it was really well worth going on this tour. For me my time was really limited and it was great to get all the expert knowledge of San Francisco.
- Pioneer0728380087000Fun experience with friendsSuch a fun trip! The driver/guide was super knowledgeable, funny, and kept us entertained. It's not a large group, so it's comfortable and we ended up making friends along the way. Wineries are good and the bottles to go are not too expensive.
- Karen A00Great Small Group Tour with RobinThe Small Group Wine tour to Sonoma and Napa, guided by Robin was wonderful. Only 11 on our very informative & fun tour. Each winery we visited discussed different aspects of wine making, it’s history and tasting. Loved going to smaller wineries to taste wines that we typically wouldn’t have a chance to try and being the only group at the winery. Robins advice on places t go for lunch
- gailsL6277BH00Great tourRobin was great - a very enjoyable day. Nice wineries and lunch in napa. Beautiful view of golden gate
- Adam010800The Ultimate Napa & Sonoma Wine TourWhat a wonderful day we had. Delicious wine tastings and loads of fun. Jeffrey was a great tour guide. He was extremely knowledgeable, informative and really funny. Definitely recommend this tour especially with Jeffrey.
- serran20230011/10 Will use Green Dreams Again Next TimeGreen Dreams is 11/10. They put together a group tasting for us for a group of 28 that was incredible and reasonably priced. The two vineyards they picked for us were incredible and we were treated like royalty at both. Great communication, great staff, top notch service. I will 100% use Green Dreams in the future!
- 320hayleyf00Fabulous start to finishEvery second was absolutely fantastic! So much fun, learning and laughing! Jeffery our tour guide was outstanding, witty and knowledgeable, thank you Hayley visiting from the UK
- christopherhU6829KS00FantasticJeffrey our tour guide was phenomenal. The weather was not the greatest, but with Jeffery’s quick wit and humor my wife and I had a fantastic time. I highly reccommend the tour with Jeffery as your guide.
- 508lawrenced00Terrific Tasting!Ru Vango was exceptional. Beautiful scenery and a personal tour through the winemakers facilities. Homewood Winery tasting was informative and fun. Robin our tour guide was personable and a font of knowledge as well as entertaining.
- 1908BiancaB00Simply AMAZING!This tour was simply amazing! We had the awesome pleasure of having Barry as our driver and Josh S. as our Tour Manager. Both of these gentleman made sure that we had a tour to remember. Throughout the entire process, Josh was excellent with communication. Then, for the tour Barry made sure we were very well taken care of. We’re so grateful for Green Dream!
- 151bella00Vers désappointes;not organise and 2 of the 3 winerys we visit were pourly équipes I would San it is like a hyypy tourBad organisation Very desapointed , not a well organiséd tour , 2 of the 3 wineries we visited were pourly equiped and in bad shape . Really too expensive for what we had . Next Time we will go by ourself. Very déceived
- R4961ZHcarmens00Logistics free day in Wine Country!JOE WAS GREAT! Seriously he did a wonderful job ensuring everyone on the tour was comfortable & enjoying themselves. Such a lovely day trip to wine country- loved the extra scenic view drives/stops along the way. Lunch at Oxbo was a perfect stop. All 3 wineries provided different experiences to round out of day, but we loved Peter Cellers the most (wine AND dogs- what more could a girl want!). Booking through Green Dreams allowed us to have a logistics free day in wine country- hop on the bus and go! Highly recommend.
- Jeff N00nice day in the valleysWe took the Sonoma and Napa valleys tour. We went to small wineries with very good wine. The bus driver/tour guide was very informative on the way out and backed off as we interacted with each of the wineries. He was very engaging without being overly solicitous. There were 14 of us on the bus and on the tours which never seemed too many. I would highly recommend this tour to get to wineries that are not open to the general public.
- macygraver00Non-dependable, unprofessional, and poor experience on a bachelorette winery tour I’d planned months in advance.I scheduled a full day private tour and it was completely underwhelming. I read some reviews before booking that made me assume this was the best option for a bachelorette trip but boy was I wrong. For starters, I booked this months before our trip and each time I called to ask for an itinerary I had to listen to whoever was on the other line talk in circles and not giving me a clear answer of when I would be receiving an itinerary. Finally, the afternoon before our tour I receive our itinerary and am put in touch with the person who handles private tours (the first communication I’ve had up until this point, which was surprising that I hadn’t spoken with them before) and our driver. I’ll give props that the bus was a comfy size for our group of 10 and our driver was prompt at arriving for pickup. But things took a turn when we drove to our first winery. Upon arrival, I went up to the winery’s hostess and told her we had a tasting reservation to which she responded saying she didn’t have a reservation for us. The company had booked our reservation at a separate location. The winery was kind enough to make room for us while I tried to get in contact with our driver and private tour representative, neither which I was able to get ahold of. I called the number of the Green Dream office and someone there told me they would call our driver and have him come back to see what happened. When he arrived, I explained to him the reservation mixup to which he said, “I just go where they tell me.” and nervously laughed. It was completely unprofessional and was utterly embarrassing for him. Unimpressed, I told him that they would accommodate us and we would be out at the time he initially told us. Not once did he nor anyone from Green Dream apologize about booking the wrong place. I got a “bummer” text from one of them and some excuse about the winery’s booking system. They never took ownership or credit for this mistake that set the tone for the rest of our day. I ended up calling the remaining wineries to confirm the reservations and they had both been set. The other two wineries were wonderful and we got around safely, but to say the least, do not book with Green Dreams unless you want a boring non-engaging driver and a 50/50 chance of them miss-booking reservations. My recommendation is either do it yourself and Uber or book with Platypus—I had a wonderful experience with them a few years back and am kicking myself for not booking with them in the first place. The unprofessionalism I experienced during each interaction that I had with their employees should have been a clear sign for me to avoid—so many red flags. Would defer anyone from booking here.

We had a fun time on our wine country tour with Jeffrey to Sonoma and Napa! I liked that it was a small group - we had a full bus of 14 people. Everyone was super friendly from the start.
I'd been to Napa twice before but my fiancé has never been. I wanted us to both enjoy the experience without having to drive so I loved the idea of getting picked up right from our hotel.
We went to two wineries in Sonoma. Both were smaller and off the beaten path. The quality of the wines was great and the number of wines we tasted was decent. The third winery was in Napa set on a beautiful spot where we lounged outside and took photos from the back deck.
Between the Sonoma and Napa wineries, we stopped at Oxbow Market in Napa for lunch. We had just over an hour. I got pizza, which came out pretty quick. However, my fiancé chose the Mexican place for tacos and had to wait 45 minutes (15 min in line and 30 min for his food). He was nervous that he wouldn't get to eat before we had to leave. My understanding is that there are staffing shortages, like in many places as a result of Covid. Fortunately it all worked out, but it would have been great to know about the delay upfront since we were on a time crunch.
Anyways, our group was a lot of fun, the wines were enjoyable and Jeffrey was both helpful, educational, and entertaining. Definitely recommend this tour if you want to relax in wine country without having to think about anything!

This is a a good way to get a little tour of wine country in a short day trip. I liked that the size of the group was rather small, only 14ppl total on bus and not the bus loads we passed at various times. I thought they did a good job of presenting three very different winery experiences on the tour. We visited Peters Cellars first and although subjective-most on our tour agreed, the wines here were the best-so buy here! The second winery seemed a little lower budget wine, but they gave a very informative tasting. Then the final winery was a little more of what you expect as an experience with beautiful vineyards and seating. The guide was great and the bus was comfortable. Only negative, is more about being tied to a group. You are sorta relegated to their schedule. There’s no hoping off to explore and it seemed like there was a good bit of wasted time just driving around to provide a buffer to the schedule. As long as your good with keeping on their timeline it’s a great value for the experience.

Thank you for your review. We are glad you noticed the variances that California wineries present in size, production, and overall feel. Peter Cellars is truly a one-man show, while Homewood focuses on different grape varietals. Ru Vango is quite posh and shows modern CA winemaking in its shiny glory! Anytime you take a public wine tour, it is always about being tied to a schedule. In this case, a very-concise way to visit three wineries in two regions (Napa and Sonoma) while enjoying a full hour at a sustainable marketplace lunch spot. All that in 8 hours (all inclusive, except for lunch!) is quite a feat. If you ever wish to have us customize a more personal experience, let us curate a Private Tour next time. Those are all about YOU! Best, Spor (GM Green Dream Tours)

We were only in San Francisco from the UK for 3 full days and wanted to make the most of our time. We didn't research before we left, and chose the Green Dream Tours Combo tour at random based on reviews and the time we had. It was an excellent decision!
The communication was perfect beforehand - we got a text confirming the booking and then another to confirm the pick up time from our hotel on Nob Hill. This was so much easier than getting to a central location for being picked up!
There were 11 of us on the tour for the day in a large minibus, and this was a really good number. The others were excellent company too! Our tour guide, Jeffrey, was friendly, knowledgeable and good fun. He knew all about the wines in the area and was able to share his experiences while he drove us between vineyards.
We visited 3 small local vineyards, and they were all excellent. Cheryl hosted us in one of the vineyards and she we learned alot with her. We didn't want to see mass-produced wine, so this was perfect for us. We must have had around 16/17 small glasses of wine during the tastings - as well as the bottle we had for lunch when we stopped! Excellent way of tasting local wine without having to drive!
This was an excellent day out and well worth booking. We were out from around 8.30am until 5.30pmish, so had plenty of time afterwards to stagger around San Francisco when we returned. Thank you Jeffrey and the team!

The touring company Green Dream Tours is excellent! Their customer service is excellent. Aaron was our tour guide. He is friendly, knowledgeable about the area, patient and very accommodating. He made the day a very delightful experience. It was great having a small tour of 5 people, we had the best time ever going to boutique wineries. In visiting the first winery, Robledo Family Winery, the wine steward was friendly, knowledgeable, taught us how to appreciate the wine we tried and answered questions. We all enjoyed their delicious quality wine. The second and third boutique wineries, Nicholson Ranch and Bouchaine were also excellent places to visit and provided a more personal experience in wine tasting. I suggest having a hearty breakfast before the wine tasting so that you can enjoy the day better. This was a wonderful 'bucket list' experience and highly recommended.

We only booked this tour on Sunday and are really glad we did. We researched all the reviews and this one came out as one of the best. Robyn was our driver and host for the day, he was really good fun and had high levels of energy. We were picked up at about 9am and dropped off at about 5.20pm, the whole day went really fast. We visited 3 Wineries overall, 2 in Sonoma and 1 in Napa Valley. We also has a stop off at the Oxbow market for lunch, this was great as it had loads of choice. We travelled with 11 other people in a nice bus that was airy and really comfortable. I would definitely recommend this tour if you would like a snap shot of wine tasting in the world famous Napa Valley.

We appreciate your thorough review! Great details that we love to hear. The wineries are all small, sustainable family wineries that we love to support. Oxbow has been a favorite dining spot for our tours for years. So many farm-to-table gems and NO chain restaurants. We are also glad you enjoyed Robin, our fantastic wine country guide and armchair historian! Thanks again for the kind review and hope to see you on our tours again!

Did the combination tour, was brilliant. Very well organised, great guide and a smooth fun day. Would highly recommend. The guide was very accommodating to the groups needs. He ( Erin) had lots of knowledge of San Francisco City that was interesting to listen too. The tour ran like clockwork with the right amount of time at all wineries. They were well chosen and the tour itself was very good indeed!

Very enjoyable day with our guide, Robin. He was very informative, accommodating, and had great interaction with the group. My husband and I are not wine experts by any means, but were looking for a fun outing while staying with family in the city. The pace was nice and we enjoyed all three wineries, Peter Cellars, Homewood, and Ru Vango. Homewood was my least favorite, as our group was put in a room and didn't really get to experience any views of the vineyard, though our host there was very informative and engaging. Ru Vango was our favorite, as we enjoyed our tasting on the back porch with sweeping views of the vineyard and surrounding countryside while listening to our host. We enjoyed the wine at all three wineries, as well as our time at Oxbow Public Market. Our group was relatively small, my husband, daughter and myself, and three other couples. All of the couples on the tour were from different continents, making for great conversation and interaction. My daughter , who lives in SFO, enjoyed learning a few new things about the city from our guide. Quick stops for photo ops at the Palace of Fine Arts and the Golden Gate Bridge were nice bonuses. I would have to say that the only downside for us was the fact that we were staying at a private residence and had to go to the closest hotel for pickup that morning, which was a couple of miles away ($40 Uber ride at that time of day) Other than that, a very nice outing that I would recommend.

Thanks for your positive and detailed review, Donna.
By design, our tours visit small wineries, so they aren't all on properties with expansive views (though Ru Vango has these) but it is all about the quality of their wine that matters most.
Jeffrey is a great guide and has been in SF/Bay Area for many years, so he is a veritable encyclopedia of historical info. A guide should be just this and glad that he made your day.
We love that you appreciated the diversity of guests of our tour----since these are small groups (14 people or less), there is plenty of interaction and it's nice to see our guests make friends!
Sorry that we couldn't come directly to your private residence---we simply have too busy a day, with three wineries and a lunch to pick up from all over the peninsula, if we wish to get to Napa/Sonoma on time.
We do make that clear at time of booking, but it seems you enjoyed everything once you got on the bus!
Best regards!

My husband and I went on this tour during our honeymoon and really enjoyed it! My husband was never on a wine tour preciously and was very impressed. Joe, our bus driver and guide, was very knowledgeable and engaging as he provided the history and informational portion of the trip on the way to Napa. He was also a great driver which was appreciated! He played music as well on the way back that related to various events that were being celebrated on the bus! It was a lot of fun! The wineries themselves were also lovely and it was nice to see a variation between a more fancy winery in Napa and then a more small, family-owned winery in Sonoma. We also got to pick up some freshly grown strawberries on the way which were delicious. Lunch at Oxbow was also nice and it was relaxing that we had a whole hour. My husband and I would highly recommend this tour group! The communication was also incredible! The company texts you the day before letting you know your time and pickup location and then the driver personally texts you as well which is so helpful. The morning of, the driver will call you when he’s at the stop before you so you can be readily prepared. You also get an awesome opportunity to stop and take Golden Gate and Alcatraz photos on the way! Highly highly recommend if you’re in the San Francisco area and are looking for a wine tour!

What an amazing review. We are blushing at Green Dream Tours today! Having a great guide that makes a day in wine country extra special is exactly what we strive for. As fellow travelers, we also value good communication on excursions so we do our best to keep it organized and simple for our tour guests. So happy that you benefited from our efforts to make it easy for you. We love our current Perfect Blend wineries and the love they have for California wine. Fresh strawberries? Wow, that is just icing on the cake! Be well and hope to see you again on your return to SF.

“I went on this tour with my boyfriend and we both agreed, it exceeded our expectations from start to finish. The first noteable event was getting picked up at the hotel, how nice it was to not have to worry about driving, especially after all the wine!! The bus was comfortable and we were able to socially distance from the other 2 couples on the ride. Isn’t it true that a tour guide can make or break your experience? Well Jeffery totally made ours. He was everything you would want in a guide- he was engaging, knowledgeable, funny, and all around just a nice guy! You could tell he was really passionate about SF. Something we really appreciated and for this perspective I feel we really lucked out. The ride and weather was beautiful that day. Dress in layers as the weather can vary based on time of day and location. The 3 wineries were all great, each stood out for their own reason. I feel the tour itself was really educational, we learned so much, and we tried about 15 wines in total! Talk about a day! I would book this trip again or tell my friends/family about it... which I already have :)

We went on the Napa and Sonoma Wine Tour with our guide Robin. The route was scenic - a must for travelers coming to San Francisco.
We tasted some good wines and saw the vineyards - some of the wineries 'explained' their wines well while some others just let us taste the wines.
The stop at Napa for Lunch (Oxbow Public Market) was also a good experience.
Robin was an excellent guide who took us through the history of San Francisco, the wineries and surrounds - he perhaps did the job that someone in the wineries should have actually done.

I would just call the number shared on promotion. The van is small and enclosed - if other passengers have allergies then that might be an issue.

2. Is there possibility of cancelation?( we are just 2 people) if there is not enough people gathering?

The driver of the bus is a tour guide when on the bus. Each winery has a person take control of the group while at the winery.
Is there a restroom on the bus?

No but there’s plenty of stops & the driver will not mind taking a comfort break.
Do we need to do any tipping at each of the wineries and if yes, how much should be the tipping? As well the tour guide tipping too?

No tipping required except for the driver.
