A must see when visiting London and been to see the place (from the outside) many times over years when in London. This time myself and my partner were joined by his sister, her fiancé and their 2 daughters and it was their first time. Of course it’s photo opportunity and we took many pictures. Visited December 2021.

I didn't expect that this place would be so surrounded by roads and passing cars. So it takes some time till you find a good photo spot for the palace to take some nice shot. In any case, you can't go inside. The only attraction would be change of guards, which happens two times per day during summer months. You can go for that, but it's pretty busy place at that moment.

We went here for the changing of the guard. Lots of people come to this event and it is hard to find the perfect spot as there is so much which goes on as a part of this event. If you can spare the time to see the changing of the guards, it is worth it!

It just hasn’t been the same since the queen passed… I’ve been going to Buckinham palace every week for a few years now - since I moved to London. The joy is gone. I know King Charles is working hard, but it’s difficult to replace an icon like Elizabeth. She was a complete joy. I left 5 stars because the palace is quite grand, though I’m still uncertain about the path of the monarchy.

We visited the outside of the palace twice during our trip. Be prepared to navigate through a large crowd of people - there were throngs of people both times we visited. For our second visit, we tried to watch the changing of the guards. A couple of things to keep in mind, give yourself plenty of time and arrive early if you want a great view. The area around the palace that typically has vehicle traffic usually gets closed to only allow pedestrians closer to the time of the changing of the guards. I think the best view is from the fountain as it slightly elevated so that you can see more of the procession.

The palace itself is majestic, as well as the surrounding statues, monuments and gates. The Canada gate in particular looks amazing, happy for my home country to be represented at the beating heart of the Commonwealth. The guards can also be seen guarding within the premises. Security vehicles patrol the premises very tightly so just watch out when crossing the roundabout in front of the palace. I visited during a cloudy day in November and there's still a lot of people. I can't imagine the crowds during the summer or the Christmas holidays.

Loved spending time in London and love every time we walk by Buckingham Palace. We were able to see the guards out front a few times and able to snap a few pictures. A definite must see when in London!

My mum, Denise and I went on a guided tour of Buckingham Palace to celebrate my mum’s 70th birthday. My mum was a coronation baby and has fond memories of celebrating the Queen’s jubilee. I booked the tour as a surprise birthday gift. She absolutely loved it. What made it extraordinary was our tour guide, Mandy. She was incredibly knowledgeable, kind, caring and generous with her warmth and charm. A truly brilliant day. Thank you so much for making it special and fun!

We did the Buckingham Palace Exclusive Guided Tour in January 2023. This was my second time doing this with the last time being around 2015 and it has changed a bit. You now check in at the Queens Gallery, which is on the side of the palace and the same entrance as the museum. The tour itself is about an hour and a half and you get to see a majority of the State Rooms. We did not get to see the Bow Room, which was disappointing, but they said it was currently closed. Our tour guide, Mandy, was absolutely fantastic and much better than the guide we had a few years back. She was very engaging, funny, related to our group and truly made this working royal palace a welcoming place! Following the tour we were offered a free guide (no more champagne) and a 20% discount in the shop, which we took full advantage of. I will say, having the shop in the museum made it a very crowded place so we spent more time in here than we had hoped, but the gifts and quality were great. The price tag was about $100 USD and absolutely worth it!
