Cross Road by the bridge, go towards coast and follow sign for Andy's Bar, which we found easily. A beer and toilet stop, then walk right along the beach until you start seeing naked flesh, about 5-10 mins, then strip off. Fab. Couple of dips in the sea to cool off, very cool, well the Atlantic is. Lovely beach. Back to Andy's for food, which was really good. Probably one of the nicest beaches along the coast and certainly next to the most wonderful quaint small harbour resort of Puerto Cabopino - lovely sand dunes, clean and a nice walk along this beach spoilt by the many 'pervs' hovering in the dunes, following you each time you decide to take a break and rest perhaps chosing a part of a sand dune to do so. What and who are these Perverts? Naked men gross men hanging around sitting so close you can smell their disgust! One man actually walking past us, as close as 2 feet away when the whole beach area was empty. We looked around to see back packs and peak caps on naked men now sitting in adjacent dunes and then a Chinese woman offering massages. Less that a breath away was a young family with two small children building sand castles.
These perverts need stringing up, got rid of, the police need to patrol the area. They make it so uncomfortable to be there WHY? Can someone please please do something to get rid of these disgusting excuses for men that lurk around like stinking vermin in this most wonderful place. If is Nudisim they want then fine, we can understand this, but not perverts using nudism as an excuse toe be sordid disgusting and make the whole experience and visit feel dirty disgusting and you just want to leave the place.

You can either pay 5 euros and park in the marina or park for free further up the hill and walk across some rough land, far easier in the car park especially if you have kids. Walk through the marina to the beach on the right, one on the left is shingle, this takes you to a fabulous cove. You can rent sunbeds with umbrellas for the day, there are mats on the sand so you don't burn your feet and showers on the beach to rinse off. A variety of restaurants and concession stands to have a meal an ice-cream or those famous barbequed sardines (only later in the day for the sardines). You can buy those essential beach toys also but you will pay over the odds. Some days you will get fantastic waves on this beach, great for boogie boards, but please watch the little ones as they can easily be swept out on inflatables. There are lifeguards on duty for most of the day and a Red Cross hut towards the far end of the beach. Further up the beach beyond the cove towards Marbella, there is a nudist beach. The restaurants in the marina part are all varied and very good quality. There is an outlet near Albert's Italian restaurant where you can book some motorised sea rides and fishing rods, but watch out fishing is prohibited in the marina and the police do turn up occassionally to check. It's really nice to stroll around the boats in the marina.

I've eaten on almost every restaurant in Cabopino during the last ten years. Some restaurants are good, and one is excellent! In the daytime you can enjoy the lovely beach, with two ok restaurants ( pizza, paella etc) and beach-beds for rent. In the evening the small harbour is the place to spend a romantic evening, og a feast with friends. The large fish restaurant placed on the beach is expensive, but very good. You also find Italian, chinese and spanish restaurants in, and around the harbour. Near the "Autovia" , you find the restaurant Da Bruno. The food is italian, lovely and beautiful!! Here you need to make a reservation, especially in the high season. Prices are a littlebit higher than in a normal spanish restaurant.

A week in Cabopino with girlfriends mum and dad and our one year old staying in apartment overlooking the sea. Fantastic.
Lots of great bars and restaurants, some better than others and one which stands out above them all (Hermosa if interested).
This is definitely not the cheapest place to spend time but it is convenient and peaceful. Great for couples and families with kids who don't want to stray too far for dinner, beach and bars.
Here are a few...
Albert Bar and Grill - great for breakfast. Recommend the eggs benedict menu and Buck's Fizz. Angus Burger also good. Avoid the four cheese pizza if you dislike blue cheese.
La Despensa - probably the best value on the marina. Italian. About 10-15 per main. No real starters other than soup so room for dessert. Great crepe selection.
Andy's Beach Bar. Busy in the day time. A lot like any of the beach bars you'd expect in costa del sol. Entertainment and drinks. Good break from the sun for a beer and a burger but nothing special.
La Playa. On the other side of the marina on the beach where the sand is a bit more shingle so it's quieter. This bar is the best on the beach with Nikki beach style beach beds, a decent bottle of wine and even shisha on offer. (Sad to only find this on last day of holiday)
La Tabla. Belgian run. Good food and a really good early bird offer with three courses for 14.95 and (if you are lucky and you've eaten their a la carte and we're given a flyer) free half bottle of wine per person.
Hermosa. Fantastic. The most expensive we ate in but absolutely deservedly so!! Recommend the fillet steak mid rare. Cooked very well with dauphinois. The salmon and the chicken both also looked great. They have a grill menu which allows you to make your own meat/fish as you like it. Top marks!
There are also some good little bars and restaurants 30m back from the marina in "the square". There a great Indian which is the stand out restaurant on the square but if you walk through to the rear courtyard there is an amazing tapas restaurant, very well priced and good bottle of house red.
Tip: little convenience store does great croissants and bread each morning.

A really nice area for walks along the boardwalk or the beach and dunes. The boardwalks stretch along the beach and back through the dunes. There are lots of signs saying dogs must be on a lead, they would be better saying that you must pick up after your dog as most people don’t bother.
We are a young at heart couple in our early 50’s who travel in our Motorhome with our dog so the majority of places I review will be dog friendly albeit sometimes in an outdoor area. All my reviews are based on genuine first hand experience, if this has been helpful to you please give me a helpful vote, thank you 😊

We went to this beach whilst staying in Calahona, the beach is very good and ideal for children and there is a very gradual incline into the water, there are no shingles or rocks to worry about treading on.
The cafe bars are ok and have quite varied menus and good service.
I had a massage of a asian lady whilst on the beach that cost 10 euros and lasted a good 20 minutes, it was easily one of the best and certainly the cheapest i have had. There are many males on the beach selling fake sunglasses and handbags but they are perfectly polite and move on if you are not interested. Sun loungers on the beach cost 5 euros each for the day.
following our day on the beach we stumbled on an indian restaurant in the square (as you are walking up the road towards the taxis) called the Taj Mahal which was excellent (i am very picky being from Birmingham in terms of good curry) staff very good and would definitely go there again.
we both said that if we visited the area again we would consider staying at Cabopino.

Capobino is such a lovely little place I am reluctant to share it but I suppose I must...There is a smallish marina with a few restaurants, our favourite being La Despensa. It is a nice stroll round the harbour with nice beaches either side of the harbour. Also some nice beach bars on both. The wooden boardwalk and nature reserve near the tower is a lovely spot to walk around or just sit and enjoy the views. We always come here when in the area and will continue to do so..

Hola.

Can you pay to park at the marina ?
Fackrelljane

Yes u can and u pay for 15 mins at a time. U get a ticket at the barrier. This means if u are an hour and 15 mins that’s what u pay for NOT 2 hours, but it’s not cheap so I’d advise only for wealthy or few hours. Nothing like London prices though. Prices vary month to month, more in high season.

There are local bus lines there but honestly I did not use them (I jogged...) - ask the local transit authority personnel.
