Nice to spend an hour here strolling and taking in the sights. After all the ornate churches and basilicas in Italy, the interiors felt comparatively austere to us. Belgium's former stock exchange building is a colossal neoclassical structure that is quite uncommon in the city. In contrast to the hordes of tourists at the Grand Place or Manneken Pis, Eglise St-Nicolas is a peaceful place for spiritual self-reflection. Interior is simple. The only issue we found (coming from Miami), was the heating system. It was November and was cold outside but it was burning inside the building.
