Hotel is very central. Walking, a 15 minute radius you can be at EU parliament, various art galleries, museums, at least 2 interesting parks and Brussels Centraal. Not to mention many bars and restaurants. Just outside the door, literally a few metres away, is the entrance to the metro station. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was excellent and hotel was very clean. Only downside, is that at the minute there's a lot of roadworks right outside the hotel. That will be temporary though and hopefully completed soon.

My stay at Hotel Chambord started off on a positive note, as the gentleman at reception stayed late to check me in (for a midnight arrival). He was gracious and helpful. The room is dark and small, but relatively comfortable. However, beyond the gentleman I met the night of my arrival, the customer service is horrendous. On the third night of my stay, I was in the breakfast room having a glass of wine and a snack (that I brought) at one of the tables, when a man who identified himself as the owner of the hotel told me the room was closed and I needed to leave. I explained that I was having a small snack and planned to leave when I finished, to which he responded, "okay". About twenty minutes later he returned to demand that I leave, and when I responded that I would stay until I finished, he threatened to call the police - yes, he was going to call the Brussels police to report that a female guest was sitting at a table in his hotel. His berating continued until I finally returned to my dark, small room. I travel frequently and have stayed at a wide variety of hotels, and this is my worst customer experience - bar none.

Dated and dark hotel. No kettle in the room. I asked to borrow one at the reception, they don't have one. No bottled water provided either. Only one towel for 2 guests. Toiletries looked very cheap. Not bad selection of buffet breakfast. Tried to take a mug of hot water to my room and the waitress told me off like a child. Disgusting service. Though the guy with glasses in the reception was very calm and helpful. He's an asset to the hotel

Room Tip: It's quite a dated hotel, dark inside too. Though it's near metro, restaurants and shops.

Centrally located hotel connectivity to bus&metro and a short walk from Brussels Central station. Very friendly front-desk team members, who were cheerful and very polite. The room was not the largest we've been to, however did the trick for one night. The bed was comfy and we slept like babies. The breakfast is complimentary - nothing fancy, however, it was enough to set us for a day discovering Brussels. All in all, good experience, we would consider staying here again. There were 3 things that I wish were a bit improved: 1. I would suggest changing the shower/shampoo provider and consider something of a bit better quality (or even put a dispenser). 2. There's only one elevator in the building - while not an issue per se, could get crowded when the hotel is full. 3. There was a bit of a smell from either canalisation or inner yard (the smell was fairly unpleasant, but the AC fixed it in a few minutes). It might be wise to check if the canalisation system is working as intended.

The hotel could need an upgrade. We ended up only staying one night and booked a new hotel for the rest of the weekend. The breakfast had no hot food and the rooms and furniture were dated. We booked the suite, thinking it would be nice. It was old and dated. The only positive was that the room was big and had a terrace.

The location is perfect, and it is in a very nice building. The room I had was a tad small but with all comforts and in good working order. The breakfast is good and abundant. Reception was good, service nice and friendly. All in all excellent value for money, as it is pretty cheap...

Excellent location of this hotel. The metro is literally few steps away from the entrance. One can walk down to the city centre in about 15 min. The receptionist was very helpful. He helped us plan our day. It was rainy day and there were plenty of umbrellas at the reception that we used. The breakfast was decent. It’s an old building but well maintained. The rooms were spacious and clean. But there is a strange feeling of the room having an old feel. There is something amiss that gives it a vintage feel. There was a persistent foul smell emanating from bathroom which never went. I guess the old plumbing of the building could be a reason for this. I would definitely recommend staying here.

A very comfortable hotel, including AC, excellent staff, a fairly good selection for breakfast and close walking distance to centrum. The only thing that lets it down is the noise. It's very near a busy road and cars and taxis were driving past all night even into the early morning. As the weather at the time was exceptional (28°c in the day and 22/23°c at night) it was necessary to have the window open. With all that being said, this wouldn't put me off staying here again.

Have stayed in old town before, so tried new (upper) town this time & liked the location. (Didn’t care for the side across the main road near hotel towards the EU). Only~10-15 min walk from central train stn. Carrefour & mcd across main rd to the left. On first entering the room, it was very warm but mr brubacher from the FD came up & switched out our ac remote & got it working..& it got very cool, just had to be patient. We slept very well with the Ac & it was during a heat wave. Don’t hesitate to ask him anything…he is very helpful!! They had umbrellas in the lobby & some seating areas but unfortunately the bar (& ice) were still “closed bc of covid”. The coffee machine makes all types of coffees but can only be accessed during breakfast hours(the door was locked). 7-10 am but 8-12 sat, sun & holidays. We enjoyed the scrambled eggs, bacon, croissants, cheeses, cold meats, etc. the BF staff works hard to keep it constantly replenished even until closing time! The tv had English speaking stations.
