Absolutely delicious and well thought out dishes - anti-pasta, main dish and dessert course was great. I have to go home and rethink how I approach bolognese sauce. The service provided by Julita was incredible. Make this a MUST stop when in Brussels!

As I sometimes have to travel to Brussel for business, I love coming back here when I can. Staff is super nice and the food is delicious. The atmosphere is great, thanks to the tiny cozy aura of the place. On a very serious note...(for me): the wine list is amazing, especially if you want to discover products from Italy. Not gonna lie: I still haven't found a place in the city that I like better than this!More

According to my many Italian friends, this small Osteria serves thé best Italian food they ever tasted, Italy included. Personally I reckon there is (only) one Brussels Italian restaurant topping OB, but that one is kept far away from social media by anyone who ever...ate there. Very kind staff, that makes you feel at home. Wednesday evening without reservation, and the queue at the door tells you something about the quality. Simply great.More

I was lucky to go on a Wednesday when they don't take reservations and get the tip to go early before they even open for dinner. I was one of few seated in the small restaurant and had a simple, lovely meal. Very nice service...too.More

I had a starter and a lasagne. The starter was OK since it was basically ham they sliced of a bigger ham. While I was waiting for my main dish I could enjoy the show of people who don't understand the menu and were treated...to an half an hour presentation of the history of every ingredient they've ever used all while the customer clearly just wanted to know what on the menu, it's hilarious seeing the hostage trying to be friendly and maintain eye contact while also trying to interact with what was clearly his date. Too bad all that knowledge didn't lead to tasty food. I had the lasagne (I mean the place is called bolognese right? ) but what I got was some layered pasta with roux. Any hint of tomato sauce was just that... a hint. There was no flavor in it at all. I guess the reason people come there is because it is in Brussels and the Belgian culture of good tasting food is traded in for tourists and expats. Anyway I gave them a 3 star review, which was more then fair for the dryest lasagne I've had in my life but the owner didn't think so and resorted to abusive language and even got my review removed (in case you wonder why the other reviews are mostly good, they have the bad ones removed, but I'll just keep posting 'till they give up) so the food was not good and the people aren't pleasant even the decor is just a collection of what was found in the basement. So really not worth it, if you're craving lasagne finding a night store and defrosting a frozen one will be a better option then having one there.More

As any true Bolognese, food is sacred and I am inclined to avoid Italian restaurants abroad. But this place is exactly like my mum's traditional cuisine (or even better). Every time I eat here is as if I never left Bologna, both in terms of...quality of food and as friendliness of the staff. Thank you guys for bringing me back home at least for few hours!More

This restaurant is fantastic. I was dining alone so only had the chance to try the portobello mushroom anti pasta and the pasta Bolognese. They were both top notch. The bread served with the meal was excellent as well. They are are Michelin stared and...it is well deserved. Important - you need to make a reservation as they fill up easily. I went for lunch but was unable to be seated as they were full. They took my dinner reservation and I came back. The staff are attentive and happy to explain and help.More

This restaurant brought a little piece of Italy, here we are in Emilia Romagna, in the heart of Matonge. In this small and warm little place, decorated in a typical Italian Osteria with wooden desks, covered with red and white checked table cloth you will...find a nice and short menu comprising just a handful of different pasta and meat dishes, made of high quality and fresh products. We started by sharing a nice assortment taking their “tagliere misto” that is including cheese, various delicatessen and is paired with some tasty crescentine fritte (fried flat bread typical of the region). This was followed by some homemade garganelli with fresh mushrooms. What can I say, simple and delicious food that doesn’t need to be perfectly assembled, because the taste and the quality of the ingredients does the whole job. I would also like to compliment the staff, which was very kind and welcoming, making you feel like home. I totally recommend this place and I suggest you pay a visit to this place. Prices are in the low-mid range and you have a very good quality/price ratio. I will visit again.More

Went there for dinner, with Italian friends, who all recommended the good food in this restaurant. They were fully right about the dishes, everything was delicious. Non-prentencious, simple, but really tasteful. On the other hand, portions are really small (even for a tiny lady like...myself), they charge you for tap water (which I find unacceptable) and you have the feeling you’ve overpaid for what you got. I will not go back as I find the place more of a business than anything else.More

We had to make reservations far in advance. The restaurant is unassuming, but very good food! The asparagus appetizer was my favorite and I tried a little bit of almost everyone’s food. They make a little puffy bread that is amazing for the appetizer for...two. Can’t remember what it’s called. The mozzarella ball was as big as the palm of your hand. This is the real deal!More
