Very good food, sort of a “surprise” menu, with an entree, a pasta and a main dish. All delicious, fairly simple but nice presentation. The wine was great as well. Very good option in the area, recommended= 9/10

Il passatempo and his chef Pino is the best italian restaurant in Brussels ! Finest cooking with real high quality products. Excellent wines . Top service as Pino is always ready to listen you . Semplicemente perfetto !
An excellent night I will start with the ambience and the feeling when you enter a restaurant We were immediately made welcome We met Giuseppe, called him Joseph or Ιωσηφ - Smiles and pleasant jokes broke the ice The service personal with recommendations. The food...and quality top The food taste deep The wine selection and recommendation full-filling all expectation A wonderful evening that exceeded our expectations Highly recommendedMore
We got there through the invit of some belgian Friends and what a surprise. Food was just great with no menu (something I really love). Starter, fish, pasta with truffle etc..and the chef was full of humor and kindness. He took care of my friends...little boy and offered a nice little bottle to my wife for our anniversary. Super efficient with ending with some outstanding chardonnay grappa. There is nothing wrong I can comment. It was a real journey back home to quote my italian wife. At the end, I will go back for sure and if you have some hesitations, don t and just go !More
Super experience. Nice food. Guiseppe made it special for my birthday :-) Would love to come back: quality food, fair price and super atmosphere!
NIce restaurant, Italian food in foreign style (being Italian you feel the difference). However, the food is good and not heavy, several choices, good service.
Do not go for each one eats their own. Instead ask for two starters and two second plates and share. The raviolis are really good, the wine from the house is top! It is called primitive. The tuna is mandatory. Put it at the end!...This is top. To finish the pannacota and the tiramisu are obligatory! The owner is Italian and very nice.More
Excellent Italian restaurant close to the museum area/Palais Royale. As Italian native I don’t love to eat Italian food abroad but for this restaurant it worthwhile the exception. It doesn’t exist a traditional menu, the available options of the day are described directly by the...owner or the young waiters. I’ve chosen a fish menu, which was superb, both for the taste and the..sight! The starters were a mix of raw and cooked fish: main entries were two delicious pasta recipes with fish (shrimps and zucchini above all). Then the superb tuna with olives. With a glass of Italian white wine, the bill was affordable and in line with the Brussels prices. Very recommended!More
Was invited on a business lunch here and was not disappointed. You tell the owner who is very present and greets and talks to everyone what you don’t eat and your food is adjusted accordingly. Everything was well-executed, especially the pappardelle with cèpes. Would have...liked small cookies with our after-meal drinks. I like to finish on a sweet note. A good find and I would return without hesitation.More
The chef more or less ordered me to have the daily special lunch. I did not protest and i was pleasantly surprised. A mix of starters (carpaccio on coquilles St Jaques, aubergine with parmesan , vitello tonato, and salmon and for main a fresh pasta...with a variety of mushrooms. Good food. Good service. Even if the chef was a bit bullying his staff (who did a good job).More
Walked past this small restaurant and was attracted by imaginative daily menu. Superb food with warm welcome. Anti pasti and all of the pasta dishes were exquisite. At 70 Euro for two with wine and coffees, excellent value for the quality.
If you have a lot to talk about, il passatempo is perfect if you Made a reservation. The menu is Fixed What the Cook decided. Just let them come with the plates! Delicious, native italian, different And let them serve you a good wine by...the glassMore
A must for lunch during my frequent visits to Brussels.....Never disappointed! Pino, the owner maitre d' looks after his regular lunch time clients very well. There is no formal written menu, but there's lots of choice and the offer changes each day. Excellent authentic Italian...cuisine.More
Went for a business lunch to this nice unassuming restaurant this afternoon . Parking is difficult on this one way street and nearby - better option to parking area outside The Hotel. Very friendly and efficient service. I am a vegetarian and the food was...great and the chef had no challenges understanding or serving veg food with good flavours . Good servings of several courses - a set meal but really good food. A bit crowded but well decorated and laid out . A good option in walking distance of offices to hold meetings too in that areaMore
Overdoing it and failing. That would probably summarise it. "surprise" set menu only, you can choose fish or meat and let them know if you have any allergies. I'm not too keen on the concept but I played along. The problem is, they want to...do too many things, 1 amuse bouche followed by 4 small entrée and none of them are actually good. They are average, bland. These are cold, pre prepared dishes which I am sure they made on the premises but taste like they are straight out of a pack. Shrimps were dry (stayed too long in the marinade), tartare was tasteless as was the courgette & ricotta. The pasta dish was 1 big ravioli filled with cheese and "bathing" in a soupe of cheese. The ravioli pasta itself was good and home made, the sauce & filling were greasy and heavy. The only dish that brought the experience up a little was the main, pork chop. Nicely cooked if nothing special. All in all, a disappointing experience. will not repeat it.More
